ASN - Autonomous System Number
A Unique identifier allocated to an Autonomous System, a network that is a collection of prefixes. The ASN is normally a mandatory requirement for a network wishing to join an internet exchange as it is used for BGP based routing.

A set of servers in a data center providing nearby access to content owned by a content delivery network provider and part of a global delivery network.

An unused optical fiber at a PoP that can be leased as an optical fiber and lit by the service provider.
An ICT facility housing IT servers and telecommunication equipment. Data centers provide hosting, collocation and virtual hosting services to enterprises and carriers. A Data Center can serve as an interconnection point in the different layers between carriers and networks or an exchange.

Global Data Center
A data center providing substantial international interconnections.
A facility housing a repeater or an amplifier
A network comprising of a single or multiple routing equipment used to exchange internet traffic of Internet Service Providers, Large networks or content delivery networks. An internet exchange can be commercial or a non-profit organization.
Internet Exchange Point
A point of presence of an internet exchange serving as a connection point typically located in a data center.
A facility serving as a landfall point for a single or multiple submarine cables. The facility can serve also as a collocation space or an interconnection point.
Local Switch Operator
PoP – Point of Presence
A network access point, an interconnection point located in a Data Center, Carrier Facility or a dedicated Point of Presence location.
An ICT services provider including carriers, data center operators, internet exchange or submarine cable operator.
